A RARE SIGHT, SHOTS FROM THE GARDEN AND SUMMERTIME PAGE

A rare photo of Riley laying down in the grass out back!

For some reason he doesn't like the feel of grass on his belly.. I guess I might not

either with all those weeds mixed in..

I saw a recipe for ... wait for it... wait...

WATERMELON GAZPACHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness.. I've never tasted anything like it.. loved it!!

Let me know if you'd like the recipe.. perfect for a hot summer night..

This is one of my lilies!!! I love the vivid orange color..

year after year I just get more and more and the orange red is

spectacular!

Here's a little bird that

dropped by for lunch..
If you aren't way too tired of another journal/stationary page..
here is my entry for
http://crazyamigochallenge.wordpress.com
The theme is Summer.
I've been making these pages to write letters to wounded and deployed soldiers
through the
http://soldiersangels.org
website.
If anyone is interested you can sign up to write letters.. or you can "adopt" a deployed soldier
and send a care package once a month and write a letter to them every week.
Good stuff.. and a lot of soldiers on the waiting list for that little extra support.

Interesting stuff in this post! Riley laying down on the grass - well done for capturing that moment! Our last dog was allergic to grass (per-lease!), so we always had to put a blankie down for her in the garden, or her poor tummy and chest would get so sore and angry looking. We kinda carried on putting blankies down for Rosie Mae, the little Princess, and she seems quite happy to lie on them.

The letters etc for soldiers is such a lovely idea. I'll be back later to investigate further. I MUST go to bed, it's pretty late here and it's school/work tomorrow :o(

I do so love your bird feeders, I really will get round to making one one day......

xx
